The workmen had discovered the way robbers had broken into another tomb!
They dug into the roof of a stone tomb chamber. It seemed that the people who had originally made the Queen's grave had robbed the tomb underneath and covered where they had broken in with the Queen's wooden chest.
Woolley thought it was a man's tomb because it contained fragments of daggers. He called it the 'King's grave' because it was next to the Queen's tomb.
