The walls of the king's tomb were lined with limestone rubble and burnt brick. The walls were then plastered with mud. The floor was made of flattened earth.
The king's tomb chamber had been robbed. The body had not survived although fragments of bone, daggers, jewellery and stone and metal bowls were found.
A sloping ramp led to the original entrance of the tomb. The bodies of 63 attendants and soldiers were found, and the remains of two chariots drawn by six oxen.
The soldiers were still wearing their copper helmets and the blades of their spears lay beside them.
