Kanesh

You load some of the reeds onto your shoulder and carry them away from the edge of the river. Adding them to a pile already drying in the sun, you watch as men and women split the reeds into thin strips. Others use these to make mats, weaving the strips in and out of others to build up large sheets. Many rolled mats are already made. You offer to help carry them to the temple.
