You reach the main square as the festival reaches the most exciting moment. The statue of the goddess is being carried in procession and the crowds are cheering and waving. Garlands of flowers are being thrown and there is the smell of sweet incense in the air. You notice that many people are selling things to the pilgrims and other people: water, beer, amulets, souvenirs and small cakes. Listening carefully you find out how much each of the objects cost. You soon learn the value of things and know your father will be pleased by how much knowledge you have about travelling and trading.
