Mari

The following day everybody gets up early. You say goodbye to Nabium-malik's friend who is journeying to Sippar. You help the daughter pack up camp and soon are ready to set off.

However, around the bend of the river come about twenty men. They are all wearing copper helmets and carrying axes over their shoulders. Nabium-malik recognises them as soldiers of the king of Mari.

You are frightened at first but the soldiers wave and offer everybody some of their bread. However, they tell Nabium-malik that they need donkeys to help them carry their booty.

You have no choice and have to give half your donkeys to the soldiers. All your textiles and fish oil has to be loaded onto the remaining donkeys.

Do you go on with the overloaded donkeys or join the soldiers?
