Although you expect to take several hours to reach the city you are lucky. A cart pulled by oxen trundles past and the driver shouts for you to jump on the back. It is only just faster than walking but at least you can rest. You thank the driver who invites you to take a drink from the water jar. At last you pass through the huge gates of the city. You help lead the slow-walking oxen through the busy streets. At the end of the road you can see the walls of the palace. The grain is to be unloaded at one of the side storehouses where an official is waiting. He inspects the grain. He chooses ten of the sacks and you help carry them inside the building. You find yourself in a large courtyard. It has been swept clean and is very unlike the dusty, dirty streets of the city.

Do you stay with the official or go home?
