The men take their rafts apart and load the wood onto seven carts. You jump onto the back of one, among the wooden poles, as oxen are tied to the front. Slowly the line of carts makes its way through the reeds. It takes three days to reach the outskirts of Sippar. There are only two carts left as many of the men live in villages and towns along the way. You thank the cart drivers and men for their help and make your way home. You hope your father will be pleased when you tell him how much you have learnt about trade and travelling.
